Work together with your unique strengths to heal, grow, connect and live well

Focused individual therapy for specific needs

  • Discovering Autism or ADHD later in life marks an important step towards self-understanding and, in some cases, healing. Together, we can explore your identity, draw new insights from past experiences, and develop strategies that leverage your strengths to reshape your life that is meaningful to you.

  • Despite our best intentions to live in alignment with our values—whether they relate to relationships, health, or career—some of us often feel defeated in achieving our goals. It’s possible that unresolved past trauma and adversity have added an insurmountable weight, making it difficult to move forward. Therapy can work sensitively through your past trauma, facilitating a path towards healing and personal growth.

  • For individuals from ethnic minority backgrounds, seeking therapy can present additional challenges. We may worry about being fully and accurately understood , as our struggles are often overlaid with cultural nuances. Concerns also arise about whether the support provided can resonate with our cultural narratives. Here, you story will be sensitively responded to. I am committed to working closely with you to adapt my therapeutic approaches to better reflect your worldview and cultural identity.

Group therapy offers unique benefits compared to individual therapy. We run an in-person program tailored for autistic adults 3-4 times a year, providing a space for participants to connect with peers, fostering a sense of belonging and reducing isolation. Meet Dr Yan Yang (She/Her)

Hello! My name is Yan. I am a clinical psychologist registrar in Australia and registered as a clinical psychologist in the UK. My experience spans both public and private mental health sectors, complemented by a background in psychology teaching and research. I provide psychological support for neurodivergent adults, individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, and those dealing with unresolved developmental trauma.

Committed to personalised and inclusive care, I combine experiential approaches namely Emotion Focused Therapy with cognitive behavioural strategies to meet each client's specific needs. In my therapy sessions, you'll find a warm, down-to-earth approach, coupled with a keen ability to listen deeply and sensitively. My primary goal is to help individuals harness their internal resources and also develop practical tools to navigate psychosocial challenges and enhance well-being.
